专业简介

2005年，美国国家情报委员会(us national intelligence council)发布了一份里程碑式的报告，题为《描绘全球未来》，报告称，“正如评论家们将20世纪称为“美国世纪”，21世纪可能被视为亚洲……独立的时代。”因此，让学生掌握必要的技能是至关重要的，不仅要了解这种上升的动力，还要了解它对他们日常生活、社会和经济的功能、他们的国家和政府的表现的影响。没有这样的理解，学生们将会是变化的被动接受者，仍然没有能力在日益全球化的工作场所最大限度地发挥他们的潜力。该课程旨在让学生更深入地了解地区和国际事务。这种知识不仅有助于提升他们的专业能力，还将确保他们拥有必要的工具来理解塑造我们世界的全球和区域力量。它将为寻求提高分析能力、研究和数据收集技能以及沟通和表达能力的学生提供高级培训。该专业的对象是:亚洲和国际研究相关学科的毕业生，包括:亚洲研究/国际研究/通信/法律/经济学/公共和社会管理/地理学/政治学/历史学/社会学，以及在亚洲或国际研究相关领域工作的专业人员，包括:公司/国际组织/外交核心/大众媒体/政府机构/非政府组织。
